Step One
Initial Contact and Appointment Scheduling
Patients can inquire about services via phone, website, or in-person, with information entered into the Epic EMR system. Appointments are scheduled through Epic, and confirmation and reminders are sent via email, text, or phone.
Step Three
Check-in and Initial Assessment
Upon arrival, patients check in via a kiosk or with front desk staff, where insurance details are verified and co-pays collected. In the consultation room, dental assistants or hygienists conduct initial assessments, including vital signs, digital x-rays, and photos.
Step Five
Treatment Planning and Consent
A personalized treatment plan is developed, discussed with the patient, and includes cost estimates, payment options, and follow-up appointments. Patients review and sign consent forms for recommended procedures through the Epic system.
Step Seven
Post-Treatment Care and Follow-Up
Patients receive post-treatment care instructions and follow-up visit arrangements via the Epic patient portal. Follow-up appointments are scheduled to monitor progress, and patients use Epic to communicate with their care team and manage appointments.
Step Nine
Feedback and Improvement
Patients are invited to provide feedback via Epic surveys, which are reviewed to improve care and service. Regular feedback and outcome reviews inform quality improvement measures, with staff training to enhance patient experience and care quality.
