May 2021
The vision for HPU Health was established, marking the creation of the nation's first academic oral health system.
June 2022
The launch of the first location, HPU Health - Randleman Dental, was made possible through the acquisition of the late Dr. Cates' practice.
April 2023
A partnership with Atrium Health/Wake Forest Baptist and Novant Health launched a service for cancer and medically complex patients.
September 2023
HPU Health embarks on a digital journey to equip all locations with 3D scanning, imaging, and printing for same-day dentistry.
October 2023
HPU Health goes live with EPIC (MyChart), integrating health records to connect medicine and dentistry.
March 2024
HPU Health partners with Battleground Dental, expanding to a total of seven locations serving communities.
May 2024
HPU Health receives the largest grant in the history from Delta Dental of NC to launch an Oral oncology fellowship program.
June 2024
Construction begins for surgical and specialty hubs in Greensboro and Winston-Salem.
July 2024
Drs. Ben and Lyn Smith generously donated their practice, Mayberry Dental in Mt. Airy, to HPU Health.
August 2024
HPU Health
launches first mobile dental unit, by courtesy for donation by Pacific Dental Foundation.
